🌳 Civil Line Greenery

The locality where the officers of civil services used to live called the civil lines and the quality this area have is that many of bungalows are designed in Victorian style and most of its compound are well wooded by the old large trees . During the british rule in India these areas developed by britishers and also they planted the moist deciduous trees there to felt the natural tranquillity around them .
Whenever I go to these civil line areas I feel the presence of relaxation in the lap of nature .
Some years back at the well wooded civil lines area of Sitapur city I passed the afternoons during my optometry training .
Believe me the calmness and the presence of natural environment I saw there to such extent that I used to visited regularly and the crispy dry leaves dispersed everywhere on the path which gave the chance to the birds like Jungle babblers with mixed hunting party of other birds to find out the insects which are good source of protein .
Kutroo kutroo calls of the Brown headed barbet to responding each other echoed on the every corner of that area and along these barbet there are also many birds like the Tree pie , Coppersmith , Woodpeckers , Purple sunbirds , Magpie Robins , Hawk cuckoos , koels and the Pariha kites and vultures found soaring overhead in the sky .
There is also the small mosque where muslims always gathered for five times prayer and indeed it was better place for me also to be a part of it .
On the other side at the civil line area of Lakhimpur kheri town I found the same texture of green wooded locality where the many variety of birds live happily .
The road passes through is popularly known as the thandi sadak or cool road due to greenery of the area but now many of trees chopped off or fell down so this cool road is not so much cooler as in the past .
However still this path have many old trees that supporting the arboreal birds species and in future we hope the greenery of the civil line areas would be the same . 🍂
