DISAPPEARANCE OF SPARROWS - According to Salim Ali "Mynas make their nest in a hole in a tree, wall or ceilling". Now in our concrete walls it is difficult to make a hole, so the mynas have changed their habits and make nests even on electric pylons, dangerously close to a current of 11,000 volts. But the house sparrows have not been able to adapt themselves to the changing conditions and are unable to breed. They will have to modify their habits or become extinct.

The journey of Meter gauge train used to be a world in itself. From late 80s to mid 90s when I had traveled the trains were operated with steam locomotive, then later from 1995 the train was began to operated with Ydm4 diesel locomotive  .Then two to three pairs of passenger trains and three pairs of express trains would pass through our lakhimpur railway staition which came from Bareilly, Palia and Mailani junction and reached Lucknow via Sitapur. In the late 80s, when I was ten years old, the birds I saw around my house I was always be curious to see them and that's how I became fond of it and established myself as a birdwatcher .   The area where I had spent my childhood was filled with a lot of species of birds and probably because of the greenery of the trees, the birds loved this area very much .  It was my pleasure to be so close to the birds but at that time it was a challenge for me to identify birds by name . But wherever there is a will, there is a way and it happened that as my hobby grew, things got easier , I remember how I got some books on birds from a library in the city and I started identifying some common birds by name. Forest Colony Diary - 1 🐍🐸

The place which I like the most and never forgotten by my mind was indeed  my birth place where I had spent almost twenty years from the Childhood to the young age and those memories always hanging around me and I have decided to filled all these remembering into the treasure of words through my blog . In my earlier blog I have been already told that the Forest colony in the Lakhimpur district of Uttar Pradesh was the place to where I gathered all the wonderful memories Since the early 1980s to the later 1999s . In fact the forest colony was the platform from where on those days I had learned how to live in the lap of nature and also how to delivered the reaction when the wild animals were very closer . It was almost the dusk time and in front of my quarter house there was a temple nearby the forest nursery where for the first time I had astounded because what I saw there was never saw before .
